At St. Maria Goretti, our Elementary Faith Formation programs are designed to nurture the spiritual development of children while supporting families in their journey of faith. Rooted in the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church, our goal is to create a joyful, meaningful, and lasting foundation for lifelong discipleship.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS)
For our youngest learners, we offer Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a beautiful and hands-on approach to introducing children to the love of Jesus. Set in a specially prepared environment called the Atrium, everything is thoughtfully arranged and sized for children to engage through play, exploration, and quiet reflection. Through guided presentations, scripture, and liturgy, children come to know the Good Shepherd in a way that speaks to their hearts.

Sacramental Preparation & Growing in Faith
As children grow, our classrooms are thoughtfully structured to accompany them through every stage of their faith journey. We offer engaging, age-appropriate instruction that prepares students for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, along with ongoing catechesis that encourages a personal relationship with Christ. For our older elementary students and pre-teens, we offer Bible study and faith discussions that foster deeper understanding and connection to Scripture and Church teaching.

We believe that faith formation is a family journey. Our programs are not only here for our students but are also designed to walk alongside parents and caregivers as they raise their children in the Catholic faith. Through resources, family-focused events, and community support, we aim to help families grow together in faith, love, and discipleship.
