Faith, Friendship, and Formation for the Journey Ahead

Middle school is a time of big questions, growing independence, and deeper exploration of what it means to live out our Catholic faith in today’s world. At St Maria Goretti, our Middle School Youth Ministry provides a welcoming, energetic, and faith-filled environment where students in grades 6–8 can encounter Christ, grow in their relationship with Him, and build authentic community with their peers.

Faith that Makes Sense
We focus on helping our middle school youth understand what the Catholic Church teaches—and why. Through dynamic discussions, relatable teaching, and opportunities to ask real questions, students learn how to live their faith with confidence and purpose. We talk about the joys and the challenges of being Catholic in today’s world and encourage our youth to make their faith their own.

Faith in Action & Community
Each gathering begins with a shared meal alongside our High School Youth Ministry students, creating an intergenerational sense of community and connection. From there, we break into middle school-specific small groups where we dive into age-appropriate faith topics, scripture, and life application.

But it’s not all classroom learning—our ministry includes game nights, service projects, local outings, retreats, and more, providing fun, meaningful ways for our students to experience God through joy, friendship, and acts of love.

Walking Together in Faith
We recognize that this journey isn't just for students—it's for families, too. Our ministry supports parents and guardians as they navigate the teenage years, offering resources and events that encourage faith at home and growth as a family.

Through laughter, learning, and love, our Middle School Youth Ministry is here to help students take the next step in their faith—firm in their identity as beloved children of God, and ready to shine His light in the world.
